Happy New Year!
And welcome back to Ki Moments.
Last January, I asked what you were hoping for in 2008, and what personal conflicts you wanted to resolve. As you look back, would you say you freed up some ki in '08?
If you're like me, some energy is probably flowing more freely while certain relationships and areas of life could still benefit from a little more clarity, a bit more honesty, and even more freedom of movement.
Imagine being free of the "stuckness" that surrounds your difficult relationships and internal struggles. What would it take?
See yourself breathing through the places where you currently feel resistant. Experience yourself centered in body, mind and spirit. Believe that change is possible, and begin to move in that direction.
Have the conversation you've been putting off. Make the decision that's holding you back. Sort through your emotions and find the underlying gift.
For my part, I'd like to extend a big thank you for your loyal readership over the years. Please let me know what I can do to make Ki Moments more helpful.
If you're new to Ki Moments, it's great to have you with us. Each month look for a brief story and helpful workshops on how to manage your "key moments" with awareness, intention and purpose.

Good Ki!

The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair, Though having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same.
And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads onto way, I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh, Somewhere ages and ages hence; Two roads diverged in a wood, and I- I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.
Robert Frost (1916)

As I mentioned last month, I'm in the process of recording a new CD, called "Simple Gifts: Making the Most of Life's Ki Moments." I took my favorite Ki Moments stories, added some inspiring songs, and sat down with musician Woody Allen and producer, Chris Magruder, of Thundering Sky Studio to create a CD that will increase joy in the listener and in the world.
I still have some last minute polishing to do, so look for a release date in March or April. I think you'll love the combination of Ki Moments stories, songs, and practice.
